Biotech + Nano in North Carolina?or more Pork for Mork?
Fri, March 24, 2006 - 8:56 AMlittle did i know when Mork said "nanoo nanoo" it would be like hearing "plastics" in the Graduate !!!! however the "buckyball"..yup that bucky ( actually carbon C60 ) is a lattice structure that is a fillable container..as are nanotubes...so small as to be absorbed directly through the pores in your skin...they make meds scalable for micro dosages preventing the damaging effects of overdosing presently inherent in "modern" medicine...hopefully all the scientists involved will have atttended a course in ethics..and actually paid attention !!! the present focus is on the self assembly aspects of nanotubes...they only bond with others having the same chemical substance..and network much as proteins do...hence the very exciting (for pigs) prospect of growing your pork without the cost of feeding and caring (?) for pigs !!! hey pass the biomass please..and hold the phony baloney !!! hey but i heard the head of the department was a pothead...who was developing an underwater version called seaweed !!!!
